When I type the word photography into a Google search, 1,530,000,000 results come up. When I search the word Century Color 240,000,000 results come up. When I search my own name, I get 111,000 results. The amount of information on the internet is incredible. Everyone has their search engine of choice. I prefer Google; others use Ask, or Bing to name a few. The list is forever long. No matter the method you choose, the question remains the same; Are you findable?

Most of us will agree that when we want information about a topic or a service provider we will look them up on the internet. It’s our number one source for information. So ask yourself; what can I do to make myself more findable?

There are thousands of books, articles, workshops etc. all teaching about Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Each with lots of information about what you can do to make your website more findable. We know the volume of information out there can be overwheming.

So here is a recommendation for a source we use and have found very helpful www.hubspot.com.  A great way to start is using their free “website grader”.  Just type in your website address and they will send you a report of how your website grades for SEO. This report is a great way to learn about your website and how to make yourself more findable by Google and other web browsers... even more importantly Customers !

So find out your grade and learn what you can do to make it better.
