My Engagement Session...

Although I’ve had professional pictures done in the past, this time was a totally new experience because it was for my engagement session. Seeing that I work in the photo-industry world, I had some idea of what to expect and what to do but the big help and stress reliever was the photographer (Craig Mello from Art Rich Photography)! We talked a few days before the shoot on where we would be doing the pictures and what I was looking for from these photos. We also discussed outfits and he told me what photographs well and what doesn’t, the information was definitely useful. So after our chat, I headed out to the mall and used the shoot as an excuse to shop and get all done up! What girl wouldn’t?!

The day of the shoot my fiancé and I headed to our appointment and instantly we felt at home. Craig eased us in with basic chit-chat and by the end of it you’d think we would have known each other for years! He definitely helped us to relax, and of course laugh for the photos. I must say by the end of the shoot my cheeks hurt from smiling so much! We did a nice mix of both indoor and outdoor photos and I was very pleased with the outcome. We also shot a video for a new product we are implementing here at Century Color with a personalized message from the couple to put on the save the date. The video will be put on to YouTube where we then create a QR Code with the URL, but more about that later, we will be going into full detail very soon! Of course we had to do a couple takes but it was fun to do, and I can’t wait to send out the final product!

Even Rick, my fiancé, who was neither delighted nor miserable about getting these done, concluded that they were painless and fun! Craig kept him on his toes the whole time with marriage stories and jokes so those are definitely real smiles! Over all I think we both had a great day and we are very ecstatic with the outcome!

P.S. Thank you Craig for a job well done!! You are AWESOME ;)
