Selling like hotcakes?! … where did this phrase come from?? Hotcakes, pancakes, griddle cakes… pretty much all one in the same, right?! Well, it has been said that as early as the 18^th Century hotcakes have always been  popular at fairs, churches, socials, etc. often selling as fast as they could be made. While there doesn’t seem to be any particular “hotcake fad” leading to the origin of the phrase, seeing as how  they were such a hot commodity the phrase became a familiar expression for anything that sold very quickly, effortlessly and in quantity.

Over the past 5 years and with all the new products we’ve made available, IPhone covers are definitely our hotcakes!! We’ve already had to order 3 more shipments of product to make the covers, and the orders just keep coming! With the demographics of the IPhone owner ranging from a young hipster, to a business man/woman, to a retired grandparent these personalized covers also suits all ages and styles. Considering there are approximately 6.4 million IPhones currently active in the United States, it’s safe to say either you or someone you know owns one!

Steve Jobs knew exactly what he was doing when he created such an extraordinary product. Back in 1964 with the demand far exceeding the supply of Ford Mustangs Lee Iacocca was beyond overwhelmed. One day while driving to work he passed a coffee shop in Detroit and couldn’t help but smile when he saw a sign that said “Hotcakes selling like Ford Mustangs” .. who would’ve thought!
